Our enthusiastic volunteers in the Connaught School Council fundraise to support initiatives that enhance the school experience for all of our Connaught Students. Our priorities are identified by the school community and agreed to at School Council Meetings.
With the generosity of the local community, we have been able to provide the following items which aren’t met by the school board's budget:
- Schoolyard Renewal Project (2015-2019)
- New Kinder play structure
- Supplemental funding for the new turf in the big yard
- The Nature Education Centre - an outdoor garden space that helps students learn by growing
- Grade 6 biodiversity project - a multi-year plan to create a pocket forest on school property
- The Learning Commons Project (2021-2023) - the transformation of our library into a multipurpose learning space.
- Staff room refresh (2023-2024)
- Teacher Wishlist
- New inclusive books for the school library
- Luv2Groove Virtual Dance Party
- Additional Chromebooks and iPads
- Beebots, light tables, and Magnatiles for Kinders
- funding to maintain classroom garden towers
- The Pay-It-Forward project, which shares Connaught’s school spirit by supporting local schools with less fundraising capacity
- Sports equipment, items for outdoor play and intramural sports jerseys
- Assisting teachers with materials for in-class activities
- Field Trip Subsidies
- School Buses
- Grade 6 Year End Trip
Without the funds raised by the Connaught School Council, many of the initiatives listed above would simply not materialize.
We are always looking for new ideas and volunteers! If you’re interested in joining the fundraising committee, please send an email to

Thank you for your support!
