Purpose of the Meatball Club

Support students by promoting belonging and connectedness outside of the classroom.

Empower students to take responsibility for their actions and teach the tools to make good choices in the moment.

Promote positive relationship building through peer mediation, conflict resolution and restorative practices.

Teach positive social skills through modelling and role play.
-
Practise positive behaviour and give positive feedback when they behave well.

Develop supportive relationships with students and assist them build supportive relationships with their peers.

Engage students to feel a sense of calm and a safe place.

Act as positive role models for each other.

Support with nutrition, life skills (cooking) (play skills/ turn taking)and organizational skills.

Hosting events and collaboration works for others. (IE...spirit week, kinder helpers, teacher lunches, bake sales)

Building self esteem and self worth.

Teaching empathy and self calming techniques.

Provides leadership and coaching opportunities for older students.
-
Provides discussions for students focusing on self esteem, stress, healthy home and school relationships, self respect and respect for others.

All members have the opportunity to participate in various special activities like scavenger hunts, art projects and special lunches.

All members participate in organised gym activities during any indoor recess (inclement weather)
